When in Rome…

October 15, 2008

So in just a few weeks Andy is taking me to Rome for our 4th Anniversary! Can I has how super excited I am?? Ok, I AM SO STINKIN SUPER EXCITED. However with October being the busiest month we have had in a really long time it has come to my attention that we pretty much have an entire trip to plan. Now, Andy and I don’t usually do a ton of planning of events and such when we go on vacation. We like to relax and if the mood its us right then we will go out and do something. But this trip is going to be a bit different since how do you get 10 days in Italy and not get out and see all there is to see! The problem is that Andy usually does this part of the trips and he is beyond swamped for the rest of the month.

So I need some input…anyone who has been there, knows someone who has been there…even seen a show about being there…I would love any tips as far as where to stay and things like that.

Finally I’m Back

October 9, 2008

Alright, my apologies to those who have checked back day after day only to see the same post that was there the day before…and the day before that. Tilly life has been a little crazy around here. Bella sick,  Me sick, Andy in Atlanta as we speak before he heads directly to Sacramento, CA currently getting sick…A few ear infections and a couple boxes of Claritin D later I am finally sitting alone in my house while my still coughing yet fully healthy child sits with her friends at Pre-School painting, hopefully learning to play nice and no doubt sharing even more viruses and germs for her to bring back home. Never-the-less, things are finally calming down and I can  get back to the nonsense of sharing our odd little quirky life with those of you who enjoy it.

So update: Bella is now almost fully potty trained however her dadgum knack for the skills of negotiation have parked themselves smack dab in the middle of our road to progress.
Example: Bella comes strolling into the living room.
Me: What are you doing baby?
Bella: I need to pee.
Me: Ok, let’s hurry! Run to the potty!
Bella: Um, wait. What do I get fo da pee?
Me: What do you want for the pee Bella? Now hurry before you pee in your Pull-Up!
Bella: Um, I wan ice queem fo pee.
Me: No Bella, no ice cream for pee. Hurry!
Bella: I wan ICE QUEEM FO PEE.
Me: No Bella, Ice cream is a special treat and you don’t get that for peeing in the potty. You can have jelly beans for going pee in the potty. Now run!

She looks at me for about 5 seconds…

Bella: Ok, wayl I jus peed in my Pull-Up.
Me: Bella, why did you do that baby?
Bella: Maybe nex time ice queem fo pee Momma.

What the heck?
